navreme VirtuVersity - virtual university, SecondLife

virtuality and interactivity

navreme VirtuVersity is a virtual university in the interactive immersive environment SecondLife, founded in spring 2007. Its purpose is to provide a space and trigger for electronic and distance teaching and training.

navreme VirtuVersity stands for the increasing need to bridge the gap between "virtual" distance education and interactive training, and for navreme's commitment to make best use of new technologies, albeit only for selected and complementary purposes.

navreme VirtuVersity site can be reached via the below "slurl", in SecondLife only (hence users and visitors must have SecondLife, a software by Linden Lab, installed on their computers).

SecondNavreme is being used by all nods of the navreme network, for virtual meetings, workshops, seminars, lectures, and educational or scientific cooperation. The virtual campus was built by our Czech colleague Jakub Štogr from navreme boheme. The campus features 3 mega screens, which can be used for animated presentations or projections. When not in use, there is a ticker of navreme's web-site and news-blog.
