CSIC INTEGRATION | platform | contact | name | logo | copyright | imprint | links tools | visualisation "Gardening Knowledge", is a slideshow presented at the UNESCO Conference in Warsaw in November 2005 based on a Comparative Analysis on Private Higher Education in Europe. It was
produced by navreme and visualised by icastic, visualisation experts in Florence (IT). Public and private higher education in Europe are visualized through the metaphor of vegetable gardens placed by or near the river of state support. The variety of private revenues is symbolised by water tanks, supplying private - and public - higher education institutions. Vegetables stand for the institutions, and different species of them represent study fields. In this first European research and conference on the subject, the visual metaphor pictured a complex reality, enriched further discussion, and helped envision further developments.
