UKIM Project
Support for the Development of Higher Education at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University




This 2-year development project with the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Macedonia (UKIM) is financed by the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and structured in 3 components:

QAE - quality assurance & evaluation,
PRO - procurement, and
MOB - mobility.

* In QAE we continued the work undertaken by UKIM to establish an evaluation system, and hold workshops and produce documents focussing on the question what to do after the self-evaluation, and how to move on to strategic planning and change;
* In PRO a LAN will be established across the campusses of UKIM in order to spread the broad-band internet access provided with NATO support to all faculties;
* In MOB we mainly sent Austrian lecturers to teach at UKIM - on the basis of a needs and offer assessment.
