EQUAL transnational projects - Evaluation in the Czech Republic
2008
Under the lead of navreme boheme,
a team of navreme network partners
from several countries is starting to evaluate the first Czech wave
of EQUAL projects. With a view to the new phase of ESF funding,
the Czech Ministry is requesting a thorough evaluation of failures
and successes, including a transnational comparison with Austria,
Belgium, Italy, Poland, and Portugal - all of which are done by
navreme partners. Petra Jedlicková acts as the team leader,
navreme wissensentwicklung from Vienna (Bernd Baumgart, Maria Spindler)
will undertake case studies, and an "accompanying evaluation".

MobiSem - Offline Availability of RDF Repositories
2008-2010
The project was proposed under the lead of the University of Vienna's
Department for Distributed and Multimedia Systems, jointly with
pSolutions, an ICT company and our partners in Vienna's Communication
Cluser 4C, navreme wissensentwicklung in Vienna and navreme boheme
in Prague. It is financed by the Austrian governmental Research
Community and will last 2008-2010. The full project title reads
"Mobile Semantics: Offline Availability of RDF Repositories",
and will research and test an extension to the existing infrastructure
of Semantic Web applications which are then made available offline
using a proxy SPARQL endpoint. Also, we aim to develop user interfaces
for such a system, which can be used by non-expert users.

INTER network - Intercultural Education. Teacher
training and school practice
2007-2010
The EU's Lifelong Learning programme for general education and teacher
training (Comenius) will finance the set-up of a thematic network:
"INTER network (134367-LLP-2007-ES-COMENIUS-CNW). Intercultural
Education. Teacher training and school practice". Under the
experienced coordination of our partner UNED (the Spanish University
for Distance Education), navreme and 30+ institutional partners
will regularly meet over the next 3 years to apply and further develop
training materials in the field. It builds on previous projects
like INTER-Comenius,and
the ongoing INTER-Alfa, and
"Integration Strategies
for Schools".

OBSERVAL - European Observatory on validation
of non-formal and informal learning
2007-2009
The aim of the project is to establish a permanent European Observatory
on validation of non formal and informal learning based on a network
of national experts (including actors from learning and training
organisations in all sectors, from NGOs) having a leading role in
their countries and a global vision of existing practices. navreme
in Vienna will undertake measures for validation and monitoring,
and a short feasibility study on the idea of European Observatory.
The proposal is coordinated by the Brussels-based representation
of the European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN),
and will be realised with 30 partners across Europe, including navreme
boheme in Prague.

TT+ - on trainer
role and needs 2006-2008
It aims at developing a common framework of reference for the competences
and qualifications of trainers in vocational education, at investigating
policies and provision for the training of trainers, and at articulating
a Framework for Continuing Professional Development. navreme provides
the accompanying evaluation, and develops visualisations.

SMEs in Russia - Evaluation of EU programmes
2007-2008
The EU-Russia Cooperation Programme funded through Tacis (programme
of technical assistance to CIS countries) has been designed to aid
Russia in major economic and public developments by combining EU
experience in market economies and democracies with Russia’s
local knowledge and skills. The evaluation targets Private Sector
Support and its Links with Private Sector Development Policies Development.

INTER-ALFA - Intercultural Education
2007-2009
This project is part of EU-ALFA, a programme of co-operation between
higher education institutions of the European Union and Latin America,
and will elaborate a proposal on Intercultural Education at the
Euro-Latin-American post graduation level. Based on a proposal by
the INTER project group
for expansion of the 2002-2005 INTER
project to Latin America, the work plan foresees a localisation
of teacher training materials on intercultural education developed
for Chile, Columbia, Ecuador and Mexico, starting in early 2007,
and involving INTER partners from Austria, Ireland, Latvia, Spain
and the UK.

NESOR – EU Socrates Programme
2006-2008
The aim of this project is to analyze the state of art in different
European countries, to examine the approaches of the reforms and
to revise the findings about the consequences of the reforms in
order to derive a description of the role of the higher education
in the European Social Model and to contribute to the design of
long term strategy concern to the future of higher education in
Europe and the social cohesion of the EU.
