about navreme

navreme's experts participate in flexible, on-spot or virtual collaboration in a range of own and commissioned projects across Europe as a whole:

navreme's transnational research projects in education & training, regional development or peace, xenophobia and racism result in theoretical studies, analyses and policy reports. It is committed to collaborative, applied and action research.

navreme's international consulting activities include policy advice to, strategic programming for, scenario development with, and evaluations on behalf of - EU institutions, governments and private firms. They imply the valorisation of explicit and tacit knowledge, and aim at capacity and institution building.

navreme's interactive teaching and training shares findings from theory and practice with learners in learner-centred courses, seminars and workshops. This includes Virtual Learning Environments and e-learning.

Consulting assignments by clients such as the European Commission, World Bank, UNDP, ILO, Council of Europe, Austrian and Eastern European Ministries, Stability Pact, and the Open Society Institute on institution and capacity building in the EU, CEE and CIS. Over the last three years also charged with the development of methods, Internet-based tools, and training programmes for evaluations in the public and education sectors.

navreme's executive, Bernd Baumgartl PhD, co-ordinates the network's activities. He has a background in languages, social sciences and political economy (see his background and activity) and 18 years experience across Europe.

Permanent and associated partners are free-lancing experts or employed in major universities, research institutes or firms. They join the design, implementation and evaluation of projects according to need and availability.

A network of institutions and organisations across Europe are our regular partners for cooperation and joint bids.

navreme has started its own publications series. It collects experiences from projexts across Europe. Its aim is to document methods developed in project in the field, to initiate (self-) reflection, and to distribute operational tools for practice.
